🌿The Gloucester Farmers Market was established in 2011 as part of The Gloucester Project — a visionary initiative focused on creating self-sustaining, resilient communities. The market became a natural extension of this vision, offering regional growers and producers a space to sell fresh, seasonal produce directly to the local community.
​In early 2019, following an Expression of Interest process by MidCoast Council, the Gloucester Business Chamber took on the management of the markets. Recognising the market’s value to the town, the Chamber stepped in to ensure its continued growth and to preserve its role as a genuine, traditional country farmers market.
Today, the market features a wide range of local delights:
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Artisan breads and baked goods
  • Local cheeses, olive oils, and preserves
  • Handmade gifts, crafts, and homewares
  • Fresh flowers and garden plants
Held on the second Saturday of each month at Billabong Park, the market has become a much-loved community event. It brings locals and visitors together, supports regional producers, and contributes to the vibrant economic and social fabric of Gloucester.
